This policy applies to authors, reviewers, and editors at every stage of the editorial process. Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume intellectual, ethical, or legal responsibility.

Authors

• Any substantive use of generative AI must be disclosed when the manuscript is submitted and, where appropriate, within the article itself. The disclosure must identify the tool used, its version—if available—and the purpose and extent of its use.
• AI assistance limited to spelling, grammar, or formatting may be disclosed in abbreviated form if required by the journal’s Guidelines for Authors. Such assistance never removes the need for human review.
• Authors must verify the accuracy of all AI-assisted content, including statements, references, calculations, code, images, and translations.
• AI must not be used to fabricate or alter data and results, create nonexistent references, deceptively manipulate images, conceal plagiarism, or replace the authors’ scientific judgment.
• Personal or sensitive data, confidential manuscripts, patentable information, or third-party materials must not be uploaded to external services without the necessary authorizations and safeguards.
• Final responsibility for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and ethical compliance of the work rests exclusively with the authors.

Reviewers

Reviewers must not upload manuscripts, data, figures, supplementary materials, or review reports to external generative AI tools, as doing so may compromise confidentiality, copyright, and the integrity of the double-blind peer review process. The evaluation must be based on independent human scientific judgment.

Editors

Editors must not use AI tools in any manner that could compromise confidentiality, reveal the identities of authors or reviewers, affect the integrity of the manuscript, or undermine the independence of the editorial decision. If automated AI-content detection tools are used, their results will be treated solely as supporting indicators and not as conclusive evidence.
