HISTORY AND OBJECTIVES

The infoANALÍTICA Journal is a Journal of the School of Chemical Sciences of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, which was presented in 2013 with the intention of creating a space for reference and dissemination of scientific research in the chemical field, and consequently proposed to host and disseminate original articles based on written works of the end of career, with the aim of contributing to the advance of scientific knowledge in this area. The journal, was an annual publication, and received the articles of the students that graduated during the year previous to the printing of the same.

Since 2017 and until now, the infoANALÍTICA Journal is a publication of free access and is distributed under a Creative Commons Reconocimiento-CompartirIgual 4.0 Internacional License, maintains a system of peer review and is published every six months (Number 1: January; Number 2: July) digitally and in print.

The infoANALÍTICA Journal considers papers referred to the broad field of chemistry and publishes original scientific papers and scientific notes that have not been published in any printed or electronic media.

The infoANALÍTICA Journal is a scientific dissemination body sponsored by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) and published through the Publications Center of the PUCE.

Modalities accepted

The infoANALÍTICA journal accepts the manuscripts under three modalities: scientific articles, review articles and scientific notes (Curiosities of Chemistry). The articles in this last section are not peer-reviewed.

It is a pre-requisite that all manuscripts have a heading that includes the following parts: Title, Author(s), Institutional affiliation, email of the corresponding author.

  • Scientific articles

They report original results, the product of an experimental research process, through which a contribution to scientific knowledge is shown.

The body of the scientific article should include the following sections: RESUMEN, PALABRAS CLAVES, ABSTRACT, KEYWORDS (written in English), INTRODUCCIÓN, MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS, RESULTADOS, DISCUSIÓN, CONCLUSIONES, AGRADECIMIENTOS Y LISTA DE REFERENCIAS.

  • Review articles

These are bibliographic studies that collect, analyze, synthesize and discuss recent or emerging issues that have not been reviewed exhaustively and critically in recent years.

The body of the review article should include the following sections: RESUMEN, PALABRAS CLAVES, ABSTRACT, KEYWORDS (written in English), INTRODUCCIÓN, MÉTODOS, RESULTADOS y DISCUSIÓN, CONCLUSIONES, AGRADECIMIENTOS Y LISTA DE REFERENCIAS.

All statements or observations in the review articles should be based on the necessary citations, providing a complete reference at the end of the article with a maximum of 100 references. The articles should have between 10 and 30 pages.

  • Scientific notes (Curiosities of Chemistry)

They are short investigations or reports of preliminary results of experimental investigative processes or exceptional events, which due to their novelty, can be published independently of the final results.

The body of the article have to contain: RESULTADOS Y LISTA DE REFERENCIAS
